Eric Heidle is a full-blooded Montanan-American living and working east of the divide as a creative director, writer, and photographer. In 2015 his story, “At Jackson Creek,” took first place in Montana Public Radio’s fiftieth-anniversary short fiction contest. Eric’s photography has appeared in Montana Outdoors, Backpacker, the Farcountry Press Glacier calendar, and elsewhere, and his written work can be found in the pages of Backpacker, Central Montana, the Montana Wilderness Association’s print and online publications, and the fiction anthology Montana Noir. At his day job, Eric helps get the word out for a variety of agricultural, tourism, outdoor, and social change clients with the amazing crew at Banik Communications.

When he’s not at his desk Eric’s an avid hiker, so-so kayaker, reluctant climber, and lousy fisherman.
